He went on to work as a news anchor for Doordarshan and was the Bureau Chief of the crime-themed program "Andhko-Dekhi" on Doordarshan. Avinash excelled academically, finishing first in his Mass Communication class at India's Lucknow University. Because of his exceptional skills, Prasar Bharti commissioned him to produce documentary films on India's tribal culture, biographies, and religious traditions. With a passion for education, he spent nearly a decade teaching Cinema at Amity University.
